The Area

Three Rivers Community Forest (TRCF) is located within the Quesnel Timber Supply Area (TSA) in the Cariboo Forest Region. It encompasses a diverse area in and around the City of Quesnel, stretching north to the Fraser River, south toward Dragon Mountain, east to the Quesnel River, and west beyond the Hangman’s Trail network. This ecologically rich landscape supports a wide range of values and activities for many different user groups.

TRCF is on the territory of the Southern Dakelh and Tsilhqot’in Nations, whose deep connections to these lands continue to this day. The Community Forest Agreement area holds cultural, historic, and contemporary significance for many communities throughout the region. It provides opportunities for ranching, forestry, recreation, fishing, hunting, and tourism, while private lands, woodlots, and First Nations reserves are excluded from the community forest area.”
